The Memento Mei Foundation

Whatever brings you this way, Welcome.

What We Do:

Our organization specializes in two critical services:

  1. Pre-planning support for the first 48–72 hours after the loss of a caregiver.

  2. Emergency preparedness for large-scale disasters and crises.

We serve families with aging caregivers and dependents with disabilities, offering a unique, personalized approach that combines person-centered and disability-centered perspectives—setting us apart from traditional death planning or emergency preparedness services.

Our goal is to ensure safety, continuity of care, and rapid response during caregiver loss, infirmity, or emergencies through tailored evacuation and care plans.

Through preplanning consultations and identifying goals for transitional support we are mitigating the current lack of immediately available support options for disabled persons coping with the loss of a guardian, or experiencing natural or man-made disasters.

Our Services

  • Personalized disability focused emergency preplanning support clients and their families. Aimed at providing some peace of mind when you’re faced with responding to and surviving emergencies and disasters.

  • We offer support to clients with disabilities in the immediate aftermath of the death of their primary caregiver. This caregiver is often also a parent or loved one and frequently a legal guardian. This is the outline of support we provide in these circumstances: from preplanning to responding in the moment and providing short-term support aimed at providing the best possible transitional support toward long-term continuity of care.
